Low Petergate, York, North Yorkshire. This illustration begins at Bradleys Family Jewellers, Palenque Jewellery, Fudge Kitchen and Smarts of York and leads the viewer down the historic street toward York Minster with Azendi Jewellery Shop in view. The artwork is available in two versions including a rainy winter scene with reflections on the pavement and a festive Christmas version with glowing trees, lights and snow.
Low Petergate is one of York’s oldest and most important medieval streets and it has guided visitors toward the great west front of York Minster for centuries. Its route follows the line of the original Roman Via Principalis which once ran through the heart of the fortress of Eboracum, creating the same iconic view that people still enjoy today.
This illustration was hand-drawn by Zacrosso artist on iPad Procreate over 23 hours, based on his own photographs and sketches when visiting York.
