Salts Mills, Saltaire, Shipley. In the beautiful World Heritage site of Saltaire lies Salts Mill, a place of art, culture, history and shopping.
This elegant former textile mill houses much of David Hockney’s Ipad paintings including The Arrival of Spring and A Year In Normandie. These exhibitions and Hockney in general have inspired much of the vibrancy, textured mark making and embrace of digital painting techniques in my own work and encouraged me to focus on Yorkshire more widely as a landscape artist.
This artwork print was created with watercolour before being scanned in and digitally painted over using iPad procreate and finalised in Photoshop.
