Leeds, Roundhay Park, Barrans Fountain. This beautiful grade II listed fountain was presented to the Borough of Leeds by John Barran in 1882. The expansive Roundhay Park covered a massive 700 acres of parkland. With nearly 1 million visitors every year, this wonderful park is one of the most popular destinations in Leeds.
This illustration was hand painted in watercolour and colour pencils, digitally scanned and painted over and layered with textures within iPad Procreate and Photoshop.
I love this picture, the colours are beautiful and the lake looks lovely in the background. I have lived near Roundhay Park most of my life and the picture always makes me think of all the happy times there.
