Knaresborough Viaduct, North Yorkshire. Watch on as a couple row across the idyllic River Nidd, framed by the reflections of the viaduct arches in the water. The Knaresborough Viaduct was completed in 1851 by engineer Thomas Grainger and still exists as the railway line between Harrogate and York. This picturesque scene is a typical view for Yorkshire commuters as well as a favourite among local visitors and residents of Knaresborough.
This viewing spot is just 10 minutes from Knaresborough station and can also be viewed from above at the Knaresborough Castle and Courthouse Museum. You can also rent a boat yourself to explore the River Nidd from the Marigold Cafe and Boat Hire on the banks of the river as seen in the artwork.
This digitally illustrated iPad artwork makes a perfect gift for any North Yorkshire lover.
