Brimham Rocks, Turtle Rock, North Yorkshire. This stunning geological site in the Nidderdale National Landscape of the Yorkshire Dales is home to the giant, abstract and mesmerising rock formations known as Brimham Rocks. These sandstone rocks have been created over 320 million years of continental movement and shifting weather patterns and can be found just 8 miles from Harrogate.

A popular day out, this National Trust site a special location for family days out, climbing, exploring and learning more about this prehistoric landscape.

This is just one of the many named formations of Brimham Rocks including the Eagle, Smartie Tube, Dancing Bear, Idol and more. Nestled in between patches of heather and bilberry bushes the couple watch as the sun sets behind the scene revealing a faint crescent moon.
